Terms of use

The rules that apply when you browse Banyane, send a request to a professional or manage your company listing, in each of the seven trades.

Last updated: 29 October 2026Banyane

1. Purpose and scope

These terms govern the use of Banyane (banyane.com and its subdomains), across all its trades (together, “Banyane” or “the Banyane service”). They apply between the publishing company ([to be completed], “we”) and anyone who uses them (“you”).

A trade's space may set out rules of its own (for example for presenting real estate programmes); they supplement these terms without contradicting them.

2. Definitions

Trade space
The Banyane space dedicated to one trade (materials and equipment, real estate development, architects, engineering firms, contractors, construction services, craftsmen), with its own search and its own listing format.
Buyer
Any person, individual or business, who browses Banyane or sends a request.
Professional
Any company or self-employed person presented on Banyane.
Listing
The page presenting a professional in a trade space. A professional active in several trades may have a listing in each relevant trade space.
Request
A message sent by a buyer to one or more professionals: quote, price, availability, job, appointment, booking, interest in a programme.
Company account
The single access that lets a professional manage their listings across all trade spaces.

3. Trade spaces

Each trade space has its own pages, search and listing format: a search never mixes two trades. Each trade is presented on the About page. We may change, merge or suspend a trade space, informing the professionals concerned.

4. Access and free use

Browsing, sending requests, claiming a listing and receiving requests are free. No commission is taken on business concluded.

Optional paid services may later be offered to professionals (for example featured placement or statistics). They will be optional, announced in advance and governed by specific terms; they will not affect the free use described above.

5. Banyane's role

Banyane connects buyers and professionals. Banyane sells no product, housing or service, collects no payment and is not a party to any contract between a buyer and a professional.

Prices, quantities, deadlines, delivery, warranties, payment and invoicing are agreed directly between them. Prices shown by a professional are indicative and only bind them through their offer.

6. Requests

By sending a request, you undertake to describe a genuine need and to provide accurate contact details. We may contact you to clarify it, then pass it on to the professionals likely to answer: first to the professional chosen when the request comes from their listing, and possibly to other professionals in the same trade.

We may refuse to pass on a request that is incomplete, fanciful, abusive or unrelated to the trade concerned. A request does not commit the buyer: they remain free to follow up or not on the offers received.

A professional receiving a request undertakes to use the buyer's contact details only to answer it.

7. Listings and claims

A listing may be created from public business information before the professional claims it. Only a person authorised to represent the company may claim it. We check every claim (phone call, trade register extract or any other useful document) and may refuse it.

Once the listing is handed over, the professional is responsible for the information they publish: it must be accurate, up to date and theirs. They may ask at any time for the listing to be corrected or removed.

8. Content published by professionals

Products, programmes, projects, photographs, documents and texts published by a professional remain their property. For as long as they are published, they grant us the right to display them, adapt them to Banyane's format and translate them into French, Arabic and English.

The professional warrants that they hold the rights to this content and that it complies with applicable regulations: permits for a real estate programme, approvals and qualifications claimed by an architect, engineering firm or contractor, compliance of the products presented.

9. Reviews

When reviews are enabled in a trade space, only a buyer who has sent a request to the professional concerned will be able to post a review. Reviews are moderated: we remove those that are false, abusive, unrelated to the service or contain personal data. The professional has a right of reply.

10. Acceptable use

In particular, it is forbidden to:

  • impersonate another person or company;
  • publish false, misleading or unlawful content, or content infringing the rights of others;
  • use contact details obtained through Banyane for any purpose other than the request concerned, including prospecting;
  • extract data from Banyane automatically or in bulk, or disrupt its operation;
  • circumvent security or verification measures.

11. Intellectual property

The Banyane brand, its logo, visual identity, the structure of the Banyane service and the texts and translations produced by Banyane are protected. Any reproduction without written permission is prohibited.

12. Liability

We do what is needed to keep the Banyane service available and the information reliable, but cannot guarantee permanent availability or the accuracy of unclaimed information. We cannot be held liable for a contract between a buyer and a professional, nor for the quality, compliance or delivery of what they agreed.

13. Suspension and removal

If these terms are not complied with, we may remove content, suspend a listing or a company account, or refuse to pass on requests, after inviting the person concerned to explain themselves, except in urgent cases.

14. Personal data

Our commitments on your data are described in the personal data policy.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Algerian law. In the event of a dispute, we first seek an amicable solution: write to us. Failing that, the competent courts are those of the publishing company's registered office.

16. Changes

We may amend these terms, in particular when the Banyane service evolves. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date; professionals are informed by email of any significant change.
